The Tribe of Air resides in a cave high on the peak of a mountain. A cool breeze almost always blows through the area and their pale scales blend in well with the clouds. The cave they live it goes in, then turns downwards, deep into the heart of the mountain with tons of side tunnels for each family group. The Air Lord lives in a cave that turns off directly from the main area.
A small valley lays nestled in between the mountains. Young air hatchlings are often taken here on their first few flights out of the living cave. It gets it's name 'Silver Valley' because when it rains the mountains turn a silver colour.
A steep, underwater cliff cuts through the ocean that the Tribe of Water is most commonly found in. Inside, they have cut away at the cliff to form a round common-room with all food is stored, as well as a play area for the hatchlings to socialize, but still be watched by their careful mothers and fathers. Smaller caves all spread out from the common-area.
A large forest of very old, tall seaweed looms in the Tribe of Water territory. It's very thick and hard to get lost in. The Water dragons must have important sense of direction to be able to find their way out.
An old, inactive volcano was taken advantage of by the Tribe of Fire, and they now live within it's depths. A rock slide centuries ago created many chambers, for the dragons to inhabit. The only way in is to fly down through the top and land in the middle of all the rooms. There is not enough room to meet in the volcano, so for meetings all the dragons old enough to fly get together on the top of the volcano.
Tribe of Earth has mastered the art of shaping plants into any figure they please, however long it may take. Since they arrived in the Land-of-No-Sun, or Land-of-Eclipse as the Griffins taught them it was called, they shaped the tree's of a forest to form a sanctuary for them to live within. Tunnels upon tunnels interlock to form a maze that each Dragon has memorized. A large chamber, temple almost, was formed over a clearing at the very back of the maze.
Slipping through the dense undergrowth, a dragon from Tribe of Darkness, or just Tribe of Dark, can easily access the network of underground tunnels. Any Dark dragon can easily see in the dark, so the lack of light is no problem. In fact, due to the Eclipse all dragons can see in the dark, Dark dragons are just exceptionally good at it. The tunnels are cool and the air is still and dry. Deep, deep down is the lord's den, although it is close to the entrance.
